ENERGY MEDICINE

Energy work refers to the practice of manipulating, releasing and channeling the subtle energy that exists within and around the human body. This concept is rooted in alternative healing, spirituality and it is often associated with the idea that there is a vital life force or energy that flows through all living things. While the specific beliefs and practices can vary widely, the underlying principle is the idea that disturbances or blockages in the energy flow can lead to physical, emotional, or spiritual imbalances.

The Emotion Code is a concept and therapeutic approach developed by Dr. Bradley Nelson. It is based on the idea that unresolved emotional issues and traumas can become trapped in the body or in the body’s energy field, known as the “body’s emotional baggage” leading to physical and emotional imbalances. “The issues are in the tissues.” Using The Emotion Code we can identify and release the trapped emotions and this can help alleviate various physical and mental health issues. Dr. Nelson developed a method using muscle testing, a form of applied kinesiology, to identify and release these trapped emotions. By releasing these trapped emotions, individuals can experience relief from symptoms, improved well-being, and a greater sense of emotional and physical balance.

Intuitive body reading, also known as intuitive scanning or body intuition, is a practice that involves using intuitive or extrasensory abilities to perceive information about a person’s physical, emotional, or spiritual state by observing their body. As a practitioner of intuitive body reading, I am able to sense subtle energies, emotions, blocks and information that may not be immediately apparent using traditional means. Through a holistic approach and exploring the idea of psychosomatic connections of how emotional or psychological factors can manifest as physical symptoms we are able to access the interconnectedness of the body, mind and spirit.

Reiki is a form of alternative therapy that originated in Japan in the early 20th century. The word “Reiki” is derived from the Japanese words “rei,” meaning universal and “Ki,” meaning life energy or vital force. Reiki is often described as a healing technique that involves the channeling of universal energy to promote balance, relaxation and well-being. Reiki practitioners believe in the existence of a universal life force energy that flows through all living things. I believe this is God and God’s love. The practitioner acts as a conduit, channeling this energy through their hands to the recipient. The goal is to balance and harmonize the energy within the body, promoting a state of physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.

Reiki sessions typically involve the practitioner placing their hands lightly on or near the clothed recipient's body. The hands are moved systematically through different positions, covering various energy centers or chakras. But Reiki may also be offered through distant or remote healing. Reiki is based on the idea that imbalances or disruptions in the flow of energy can lead to physical or emotional discomfort. By restoring balance to the energy system, practitioners aim to support the body’s natural ability to heal itself.

One of the primary reported benefits of Reiki is relaxation. Many people find Reiki sessions to be calming and stress-reducing. This state of relaxation is believed to facilitate the body’s healing processes. While Reiki is not associated with any specific religious beliefs, it can be described as a spiritual practice. It is often viewed as a way to connect with the higher, source, universal energy.
